The article presents results of studying the operating mode of thin-walleddrift tubes (straws) at flushing it with a high-pressure gas mixture, whichallowed obtaining extremely high spatial resolution for straw detectors. Theresults of studying the radiation ageing of straws operating in this mode arealso described.
